Critical Public Safety Functions To Continue During MN Shutdown

St. Paul, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) Judge Kathleen R. Gearin ruled Wednesday that in the case of a government shutdown on July 1, some critical services must continue to be provided in order to protect the lives and safety of Minnesotans. The ruling means the Minnesota Department of Public Safety (DPS) will continue some services deemed “critical” to Minnesotans and discontinue others in the event of a state government shutdown.
