Nether Wallop Trading, the Hampshire-based company, which designs and supplies eco-friendly garden goods has been short-listed for Chelsea Flower Show’s inaugural Product of the Year Award.

The judges have selected NWTC’s innovative Herb Dryer which will be launched at the Show. “It’s a simple device which enables anyone who has grown their own herbs or chillies to save them for cooking during the winter months,” said Managing Director Jane Vere-Hodge. “You can also use it to conserve your own vegetable seeds for next year which has the double bonus of keeping the stock pure and saving money.”

I saw a prototype of this simple and great looking device at the Garden Media Guild's Garden Press Event in February 2011 and not only does it look as if it will be performing the job it is designed for; it also will look good in a kitchen.

The Herb Dryer will be available at RHS Chelsea for an introductory price £25 and the stand will be located at PW29.
