Hardware geeks are claiming today that UK climber Kenton Cool has become the first person to Tweet, add a Facebook update and make a 3G phone call from the summit of Everest.
A peak he has now climbed nine times. Oh yes....he also uploaded a photo and sent it out to his adoring fans!
The climber connected to 3G masts erected last year, which brought online services to Nepalese inhabitants and mountaineers, who in past climbs, were forced to contact the outside world on heavy satellite phones.
Apparently, Kenton made his historic Tweet on a Samsung Galaxy S II...in case you're interested.
